Let me show you how to use this MKV Subtitle Converter
1. Click 
to add the MKV files you want to convert.

Select the file you want to edit from the file list and click 
button to open Effect window, then click Subtitle button in the left window to open subtitle setting
3. Check Enable Subtitle check box.
4. Choose Subtitle: Click Browse button, and choose a subtitle from the dialog box that opens, then click OK to add the subtitle to the video.
5. Set subtitle Transparence: click and drag subtitle transparence control slider to set the transparence of the subtitle, or enter a number to set transparence in the transparence textbox.
6. Set subtitle Vertical Position: click and drag vertical control slider to set the vertical position of the subtitle, or enter a number to set vertical in the vertical textbox.
7. Set subtitle Font: click Setting button to open Font dialog box, and set Font, Style, Size, Font color, etc.
Tips:
Click Restore Defaults button, to restore the default settings.
Adjust the vertical position of the subtitle manually: drag the green horizontal line displayed on the subtitle up and down, to set the vertical position of the subtitle.
